Sudoku Chaos is a free puzzle site run as a personal project by Willem Mevius. By playing here you agree to the following, which is deliberately short.

The service

The puzzles are free to play, with or without an account. There is nothing to buy and no subscription. The site is offered as it is: it may change, break, or be discontinued at any time, and no particular availability is promised.

Your account

• An account is optional — it exists only for the daily puzzle and the leaderboards.
• Choose a name that isn't offensive and doesn't impersonate someone else. Your name is shown publicly on the leaderboards.
• Keep your password to yourself; anything done from your account is treated as done by you.
• There is no password reset. We don't ask for an email address, so there is no way to prove an account is yours if you forget your password — the account is then effectively lost. Please pick a password you'll remember.
• You can delete your account at any time from the account page, and doing so also removes your results and leaderboard entries.

Fair play

Don't use scripts, bots or automated solvers to enter leaderboard results, don't create accounts in bulk, and don't attack or overload the site. Accounts used this way may be removed without notice.

Content and ownership

The puzzles are generated by this site and are free for you to solve, print and share for your own use. The site's code, text and design remain ours.

Liability

The site is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from using it — including lost puzzle progress, lost results, or the site being unavailable. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of your own country of residence.

This site is published by Willem Mevius, a private individual based in France, reachable at privacy@sudokuchaos.com. It is hosted by Fly.io, Inc., 2045 West Grand Avenue, Ste B, Chicago, IL 60612, United States, on servers located in Paris, France.
